As you may already know by now, Raincode Legacy compilers come with great features. At compile time, the compiler offers the ability to port DB2 Stored Procedures written in COBOL or PL/I to SQL Server and use them exactly as they were on DB2!

Specially written COBOL or PL/I programs can then be deployed as stored procedure on a DB2 server instance, to be used transparently as any other function made available by SQL.

See how-to:

  • Make DB2 Stored Procedures available in SQL
  • Generate the SQL definition with the compilers
  • Generate a wrapper to take care of the mapping between the legacy program parameters and the SQL arguments
  • Execute SQL statements statically or dynamically
